Our Founder’s Vision
Altogether Giving Africa (AGA) was founded in 2014 by Angela Rose, a compassionate individual with deep-rooted connections to The Gambia since 2006. Angela’s vision for AGA stemmed from her desire to channel her passion for philanthropy into tangible actions that could uplift communities and promote sustainable development.
At AGA, our mission is simple yet profound: to provide essential support and resources to communities in The Gambia, focusing on initiatives in health and education. We strive to address the pressing needs of underserved populations and empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I believe it’s important for people to know we are diverse:
- We have a male (Chairman) involved at the Helm of our decision making.
- Gambian trustee and two other UK trustees.
AGA is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with registration number 1202521. Based in the United Kingdom, we operate both locally and internationally, with a dedicated chapter in The Gambia. This dual presence allows us to effectively coordinate and implement our projects while maintaining strong ties with the communities we serve.

Angela Rose and Isatou Lovelace gained firsthand insight into the challenges facing The Gambia’s healthcare system after a road traffic accident in May 2014.
Expertise UtiliSation
With over 45 years of combined experience in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), Angela and Isatou leveraged their expertise to identify opportunities for meaningful intervention.
Annual Health Awareness Day
AGA’s impactful response was the creation of an annual Health Awareness Day, focused on promoting health and wellbeing through information dissemination, training aids, and workshops within the community.
